    I. Level setting

    Referring to the International Chinese Proficiency Standards and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), the Chinese proficiency level is divided into six levels:

    2. Examination content

    (1) Listening comprehension

    1. HSK1-2: It is mainly based on daily life scene dialogues with a slow speaking speed, such as shopping and greeting. The questions are multiple choice and true or false questions, which examine the understanding of simple sentences and common words.

    2. HSK3-4: It contains a variety of scene dialogues and short passages with moderate speed. It also adds fill-in-the-blank questions and short questions to test the ability to understand longer content, grasp details and summarize.

    3. HSK5-6: It involves news, academic lectures, film and television clips, etc., with fast speech rate, covering professional vocabulary and complex sentence patterns. It examines the understanding of deep meaning and logical relationship through multiple choice questions and listening summary questions.

    (2) Oral expression

    1. HSK1-2: Read words and short sentences through human-computer dialogue, and conduct simple daily conversations, such as introducing one's family. Focus on the accuracy of pronunciation and the use of basic vocabulary.

    2. HSK3-4: Video recording or real-time video dialogue is used to elaborate views on a given topic, such as "My hobby", and participate in situational dialogue to investigate the fluency of expression and grammatical correctness.

    3. HSK5-6: Have in-depth discussions with the examiner and give speeches on hot topics such as social issues and cultural differences. The test will examine language organization, logical thinking, vocabulary richness and naturalness of pronunciation and intonation.

    (3) Reading comprehension

    1. HSK1-2: The content of the passage is simple, with pictures to help understand, and the vocabulary is simple. The questions are multiple choice and matching questions, which examine the basic understanding of a single sentence and a passage.

    2. HSK3-4: The length of the text increases, involving a variety of styles, such as narrative and expository texts. It includes fill-in-the-blank questions, multiple choice questions and short answer questions to test the understanding of details and main ideas and reasoning ability of the text.

    3. HSK5-6: It includes academic papers, literary works, news comments, etc., and the questions are multiple choice, true or false, and article summary questions, which test the ability of analysis, generalization and critical thinking of complex content.

    (4) Writing ability

    1. HSK1-2: Write simple words and sentences, write a few sentences according to pictures or prompts, such as describing a family photo, to test basic vocabulary and grammar usage.

    2. HSK3-4: Write a short essay, such as "My Day", including letters, diaries and other applied texts, to test the coherence of language, grammatical accuracy and content integrity.

    3. HSK5-6: Argumentative and expository writing, requiring clear viewpoints, sufficient evidence and clear logic, such as "the impact of artificial intelligence on life", which examines advanced language skills and depth of thought.

    3. Examination form

    1. Listening and written test: The online computer test is conducted within a limited time. The system will automatically time and collect the paper to prevent cheating.

    2. Oral test: real-time video call, with professional teachers as examiners, or using intelligent oral assessment system to assist in scoring.

    Iv. Scoring criteria

    1. Listening and reading: Objective questions are graded according to the correct or incorrect answers, while subjective questions are graded in detail according to the dimensions of key points completeness, language accuracy, logical clarity, etc., and are evaluated by teachers manually.

    2. Oral English: The score is based on pronunciation, fluency, grammar, vocabulary use and content integrity, such as pronunciation accounts for 30%, fluency accounts for 30%, etc., and each indicator is quantified.

    3. Writing: It is graded from three aspects: content, structure and language. The content includes clear viewpoints and sufficient arguments; the structure requires clear logic and distinct levels; the language examines the richness of vocabulary, grammatical correctness and smoothness of sentences.

    V. Examination schedule

    1. Regular exams: Exams are organized at fixed time every month or quarter, and the exam plan is announced in advance to facilitate candidates to register for preparation.

    2. Test on request: For some levels (such as HSK1-2), candidates will be arranged to take the test within one week after successful registration, providing more flexible test options.
